On 15 February 2016, a Reception was held in the garden of the Residence to celebrate the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia. The Chief Guest at this year’s Reception was Mr Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Home Affairs. The event was attended by more than 250 guests, including foreign Ambassadors, Secretary-General of BJP Mr Ram Madhav, Members of Parliament, representatives of Indian Ministries, cultural and other institutions, companies, as well as by members of the Serbian community living in India. During the Reception, famous Serbian pianist and composer Aleksandar Simic performed together with musicians from India, Russia, the Netherlands, and Iran.
