Ambassador Vladimir Maric on 24 September met with the Vice-President of India, H.E. Mr M. Hamid Ansari. Pointing to the traditionally close relations with India, Ambassador Maric informed Vice-President Ansari about concrete possibilities for enhancing cooperation in many fields, starting with economy. He thanked India for not recognizing self-proclaimed Kosovo and for its support related to this issue in international fora, including in UNESCO. Vice-President Ansari expressed support for activities of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia directed towards expanding bilateral cooperation on economic, but also cultural and other fronts.
