During his visit to Mumbai, Ambassador Vladimir Maric on 14 May 2015 met with the Governor of Maharashtra, Mr. C.V. Rao. During the meeting, Ambassador Maric pointed to traditionally friendly relations between India and Serbia and to the need to transform excellent political relations also into wider economic cooperation. He informed Governor Rao about the potential for Indian investments in Serbia, as well as about Serbian products which could find its market in India. In that respect, and especially having in mind the economic power and potential of Maharashtra and Mumbai, as well as the fact that Governor Rao previously held the post of Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Ambassador Maric asked the Governor for his support in this endeavor.
