The President of the Republic of Serbia H.E. Mr. Tomislav Nikolić met the President of India H. E. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee on 8 May 2015 in Moscow.
In their discussions, the two Presidents agreed that more efforts need to be made to build on the great reservoir of goodwill that exists for each other in India and Serbia. They recalled the era of friendship which goes back to Mr. Nehru and Mr. Tito. They discussed a range of bilateral cooperation possibilities as well as regional and international issues. President Nikolić expressed the appreciation of the position that India has taken on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. President Mukherjee extended an invitation to President Nikolić to visit India.
